I was reading through some old devotionals that I had written years ago. I came across a word that God spoke to my spirit and I wanted to share it with you today. “Don’t lose faith in the in between places in your life”. I felt that in my spirit today as I was worshiping and spending time meditating and reflecting. Often times we get so busy with life that we miss the presence of God in our lives. Believe it or not life has a way of consuming our minds, emotions, thoughts, and reactions. Life within itself, work, money, kids, school, health, responsibilities, friends and family can be overwhelming. It’s even more overwhelming when you are waiting on God. Yes, I said it. We wait on God and we get frustrated with God and the frustration at times leaves us in a place where our faith can be challenged. If you’re feeling this way you’re not alone.
Lord, I try to live right, I’ve changed, I’ve matured in you, I invest in my relationship with you, what am I doing wrong? Why do I constantly feel like I am moving in the wrong direction? Why do I feel guilty at times for wondering why others are being blessed in certain areas and I am still stuck in this in between place? How many of you are in an in between place? In between waiting to see God move and trying to figure it out on your own? In between taking a faith step and staying connected to people and places that no longer serve you and your journey. In between being comfortable and making a life changing move but you don’t know where the opportunity or resources will come from? I don’t know who this message is for but I hear it very clearly. God says “don’t lose faith in the in between places in your life”.
God spoke to my spirit and he said, “You don’t need to be connected to anyone or anything but me to get where I am taking you. The Favor that I have for you is for you, the favor that I have for others is for them. Draw closer to me and I will open every door of opportunity. Every plan I have for your life will come to pass. I do not disappoint. I follow through with my promises, I will never leave you feeling unfulfilled, and I will provide everything that you need. I am your protector, and security. Follow my word and you will never go astray or feel lost or confused. I am preparing you for the blessing that I have for your life. Stay connected to me, and you will begin to understand the plan that I have for your journey”.
This is a message of Hope! Don’t lose faith in the in between place, don’t lose hope in the storms of life. When things don’t always look like God is moving in your life, know that he is preparing you; he is sharpening you for the task ahead. Don’t get nervous and clinch on to worldly attachments and connections, trust God. Just as the scripture says in Psalm 37:4-6 Take delights in the Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart. Commit your way to the Lord; trust in him and he will do this: He will make your righteous reward shine like the dawn, your vindication like the noonday sun.
I want you to share in a prayer with me: Lord we thank you for speaking to us in a place of confusion. Thank you for confirming everything that you have already spoken into our life. Thank you for sharpening us, thank you for perfecting us. Lord increase our faith; allow us to see in the supernatural, allow us to see beyond what our natural eyes can see. Thank you for choosing us, and trusting us with the purpose you have for our lives. Now Lord this is personal, thank you for being my protector, my deliver, my healer, my savior, my joy, my comfort, my strength, my peace and my love. Allow me to Love with an open heart; allow me to continue to hear you speak. Thank you for wrapping your arms around me and comforting me when I need to feel you. When I need to feel loved, you provide the Love of a father. Now Lord, protect us, as I know that the enemy is not pleased, continue to do a work in my spirit, and in my heart to build the Kingdom of God, in Jesus name Amen!
