How To Unleash Your Esther Anointing

Updated: Apr 26, 2022

I was led to the book of Esther and was originally looking at it from

the perspective of her position and not the perspective of her anointing. I think that is very important because many people look at the place of position and don’t identify with what is attached to the anointing that you carry that placed you there. It’s important to not get so caught up in your position that you start to attribute God’s favor on your life to your hustle, grind, your own ability and accomplishments. One of my mentors and friends often shares a statement “Titles are good but purpose is better”. I want to impart this concept into you. Your divine assignment, and identity is based on your birthright; it’s based on who God created you to be and the purpose and will of God that rest upon your life.

We have to dig a little deeper outside of the titles that we hold, the beauty that we possess and things we have accomplished in our lives and focus on the anointing that God has placed on your lives. It’s a good idea to start by identifying with the calling that God has placed on your life that represents the anointing that you carry. Esther was a woman who had a heart for her people, she was a woman of prayer and fasting, fierce and brave, and she was chosen and positioned by God for her purpose. Do you possess these characteristics? Has God positioned you like Esther? There are many types of anointing that people may carry. The key is that your anointing is tied to several kingdom factors that have an impact on not only your position or role but the Kingdom of God.

I was studying this week and I came across a commentary that talked about kingdom factors tied to your anointing being Multiplication of Grace in your life, the Magnification of the glory of the Lord in your life, and the plan and purpose of God for your life. There are kingdom factors that are connected to the anointing that you carry that will cause the enemy to forge war against you. It’s sounds scary right? The scripture tells us in Ephesians 6 “For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. It’s interesting and very relevant because identifying with the kind of anointing that you carry will allow you to understand the type of warfare that you have been facing in your life. To be anointed by the Holy Spirit means sanctifying the individual's ways to be in line with the teachings of Jesus Christ and the ways of the Holy Spirit and the will that he has created for your life. It means to be specially set apart for God's plan and purposes.

To understand the battles that you face, the level of warfare that comes against you, why people try to make you look bad and sometimes even feeling as though adversity seems to be your shadow; you have to understand the type of anointing you carry. The Esther anointing has to deal with deliverance. The Esther anointing is not about you, but tied to and connected to delivering the people of God. There are some things we must understand in order to walk in authority of your anointed position. The story of Esther is very intriguing because it is not the ideal situation or story of how we perceive one would become the Queen. Esther was an Orphan – Esther 2:7. When her father and mother died, Mordecai took her as his own daughter. She was adopted in a sense; she didn’t have her biological family, she experienced some sort of trauma at an early age, but God had a purpose and a plan for Esther that was greater than the stereotypes people may have placed on her life based on her situation. Ester became Queen by design. She didn’t fit the mold of a Queen. By her very genealogy she was a Jew. She was a Jew living in a Persian land. Her people were outsiders, in exile and yet she still became the Queen and rescued an entire generation from death. There were some things that set her apart. The grace and favor that God had multiplied in every season of her life. Many of you are walking around full of Gods favor on your life but because you have not identified with the anointing on your life you don’t understand the full capacity of who you are to the kingdom of God. Many of you are going through life asking the question why me? I have news for you it’s not you; it’s the anointing within you.

The favor of God on your life will attract the enemy in many ways shapes and forms. It will cause chaos in your professional life, personal life, your relationships and marriages, spiritual life, your children’s lives and in every aspect of your life. The favor of God will cause the enemy to forge war against you. I was praying for someone the other day and heard God say it’s not her it’s the anointing that is on her. When the favor of God resides in you to speak up for the voiceless to demand justice for the oppressed, to be a spokesperson for the deliverance of people, the enemy will forge attack against you. That is why it is a kingdom factor that God’s grace and favor is multiplied in your life because he will allow you to be covered in the position of your purpose.

The scripture tells us Isaiah 54 “that no weapon formed against you will prosper”. It doesn’t say that the weapon will not form but what he says is that the weapon will not prosper. That is Gods unlimited and multiplied grace and favor on your life. So when you find yourself in situations and people are trying to attach your character, or certain

situations are attacking your emotions and keeping you distracted you have to understand the divine assignment and anointing that God has placed on your life is under attack. You have to understand that what God is doing through you is greater than you could imagine. That you were created for a purpose, and that sometimes God gives his hardest battles to his strongest soldiers. Although sometimes you don’t know your own strength; the word tells us that Gods power is made perfect in our weakness. Esther was fierce, but she sought after God for her strength. She was powerful, but not in her own ability, she was a woman of prayer and had a heart for people. So continue to occupy your anointed space, do Gods work unapologetically, with boldness, confidence and reassurance that you were created for such a time as this.
